The Jewish community Dortmund has a firm place in the city since the mid 19th century. Currently the community has 3700 members, many of whom participate in the conduct of community life. So until today emerged along with a number of charitable associations, a women's club and a sports club, the student group, a youth center and a meeting event for the elderly.
